Cecilia Savage

Cecilia "Bunny" Savage, 67, of Honesdale, passed away Saturday evening at home after an illness. She is survived by her husband, John B. Savage.

Born Oct. 6, 1949, in Carbondale, she was the daughter of the late John and Doris (Muta) Shandor. Bunny was a seamstress for many years at Waymart Knitwear. She later worked as a childcare provider at Treasure House.

Bunny enjoyed going to yard sales, the casino and gardening. She loved her children and grandchildren more than anything.

Also surviving are three children, Lisa and her companion, Brian Woods, Waymart; John and wife, Jamie, Beach Lake; and Brian and fiancée, D.J. Daniels, Waymart; four grandchildren, Corey and wife, Tiffany; Jack, Travis and Andrew; two great-grandchildren, Emmett and Casey; a brother, John Shandor and wife, Christine, South Canaan; two sisters, Gloria Chmiel and husband, Joe, Carbondale; and Doris Morgan and husband, Bob, State College.

The family would like to give a big thank you to the members of the Wayne Memorial Hospice team.

Friends may visit on Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Jenkins Funeral Home, Edward Howell, funeral director, 269 Belmont St., Waymart.

Graveside services will be in the Waymart Cemetery at Canaan Corners in the spring.
