Celina Auerbach Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 17, 2025.
Celina (Joselina) Auerbach, 93, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2025, in Seattle, Washington. Born on February 27, 1932, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, she lived a life marked by deep faith, unwavering kindness, and a profound dedication to her family and community.

Celina was a devoted mother to her son, Robert Auerbach and daughter, Dr. Patricia Auerbach. Her love for her children was the cornerstone of her life, and she poured her heart into raising them with compassion, strength, and grace. She fully supported her children while they attended law school and medical school, even temporarily adopting their pets when needed. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her immediate family-those who knew Celina were touched by her generosity and warmth.

A woman of deep spirituality, Celina found solace and strength in her church community in Houston. Her faith in the Lord was the guiding light of her life. She sang joyfully in the church choir and offered support to others through both word and deed. She volunteered as an English as a Second Language teacher as she personally understood the challenges of learning English. Her presence within the congregation was a source of comfort and inspiration to many.

Celina had an extraordinary green thumb and took great joy in gardening. She especially loved growing flowers, particularly pink azaleas. Her garden was not only a reflection of her talent but also of the beauty she brought into the lives of those around her. She also had a special place in her heart for her dogs, whose companionship brought her much happiness over the years.

Celina's legacy is one of love: love for family, for nature, for animals, for community-and above all-for God.

Celina Auerbach will be profoundly missed by all who knew her. May her memory bring comfort to those she leaves behind and serve as a lasting reminder of a life lived with grace and purpose.
