You were a good man here Chad Williams and now we think of you on a beautiful summer morning with cicadas singing, the breeze flowing and the stream rippling down the rocks

I was just thinking about him the other day. The man had such an impact on my life as my personal trainer. I mentioned him to a friend of mine the other day and how I wish I could have had more time with him. I moved away down to Florida after my high school career where he trained me and I am just grateful for everything he taught me and the experiences I had 15 years later because of him!

I still think about you everyday that I train to work out and apply the things you taught me. I miss you,

Chad was my personal trainer when I was in High School, I moved away after high school and lost contact and never even knew he passed.

I to this day loved the man and everything he did for me and how he trained and took care of me. He was by far my favorite person I have ever been around in sports.

He went above and beyond and some of my best memories as an athlete I owe to him. I miss him and can't believe it, I have been away for 11 years and did not know he passed. To this day I think about him constantly, much love to his family.

The more I stop and think about you, Chad...during what for me were not always fun times in college (I was going through some stuff)..you REALLY WERE a top-notch, reliable, kind and sensitive friend who was "just there for people". When I think about how adolescent many interactions on a college campus can be...I remember you as a young man who was so very mature, wise and with a unique perspective and positive outlook. I will always be fond of you for that!

It's now December 2010 and I'm just learning about this very sad news. We didn't stay in touch for whatever reason, but Chad was a college friend and roommate. Simply put, he was a wonderful guy...kind, decent, supportive and genuine. I wish we had stayed in touch. I am sad.

Dear Williams Family,

I am so sorry to hear about Chad's passing. I am not surprised at all to see that he lived such a happy and successful life. He was just a great guy and so well-liked at the Mount... always friendly, happy and upbeat. I will be praying for all of you.

some say-- "dont it always seem to go, that you don't know what you've got til its gone".......I don't think thats true, I always knew I had an extremely intelligent, honest, genuine, hardworking, funny uncle....and that won't ever change. I think about you every day!!!

Chad,
I only met you once, in your youth (1979?), but your brother, Mark, brings you to life every day with stories, memories and special moments you shared. How I wish I knew you like your students and their parents did. Nevertheless, when I hear of your amazing spirit, strength, passion and "will power," I am inspired and determined to be a better person. To work harder, to reach higher and to believe in my dreams, as you have encouraged others to do the same.
Because of you.
Thank you Chad...and Mark.

Dear Lisa and family and friends of Chad, Our heartfelt sympathies and prayers have and will continue to be with you. Chad had such an impact on so many lives and the kids that he cheered on and spent time to show how being an honest, loving and fun guy could win the love of not only a beautiful woman, but of all that were fortunate to meet him. So many memories to revisit and feel blessed to have been a part of this mans life. Lisa, we keep you in our prayers for courage and healing and know that Chad's faith has him in a place of peace. God's blessing to you. Love, Joanne, Steve and Anthony

God will be with you during this most difficult time for you and your family. I went to school with Chad for many, many years - High School and then at Mount Saint Mary's. Chad was truly the most positive, uplifting and motivating person I have yet to meet! I am sure he touched many lives as he did mine. I guess we will never understand why God chose to take Chad home so early in his life, but I am positive that very few people have touched so many lives in so short of time. My prayers are with his family and his many friends.

The sun's light has faded. But his warmth lingers on.

That best describes the profound impact Chad has had on the lives of everyone he touched.

His warmth lingers on in every athlete he trained. It lingers on in every success they have on and off the playing field. It lingers on in the children of those athletes when they are taught the work ethic and pursuit of excellence that Chad instilled in their parents. That's the legacey that Chad has left us.

Chad still has the ability to make us realize that within everyone of us is the possibility of something extraordinary.

I'm a better athlete because of Chad.
But more importantly I'm a better man for having him as my friend.

Let's all celebrate Chad everyday by striving to be the Champions that he saw in all of us.

As a trainer, Chad personally changed the way I live my life. He was able to change me physically with his knowledge in the training field, but also changed me into the better man that I am today. I, along with the other people that he trained and that he was friends with, will greatly miss him and his great personality.

Chad touched the lives of all the people he met with his exuberant personality and his up-beat attitude. The second he came into their life his passion for excellence influenced all of the athletes that he trained, and I can attest to that statement personaly. The Williams family will be in all of our prayers and I hope that God will shed peace and understanding on them in this time of loss and pain.

With sympathy and compassion to the Williams Family- From the Class of 1984, Chad was a very well liked guy in school, never a bad word to anyone and we all loved him for his quacky sense of humor. A lot of have lost touch over the years..but this past year with Facebook so many of us have reconnected...it was great seeing Chad again after all these years....he hasn't changed a bit. WE WILL ALL MISS HIM VERY MUCH!

To Lisa and the entire Williams family, I am devastated to learn of your loss and want to extend my most sincere condolances. I met Chad at the Fitness Factory and after only a few brief conversations he became my mentor and idol but most importantly, my friend. When I told him I wanted to become a personal trainer, he told me he would help me anyway he could. That was Chad! He didn't know me and he didn't owe me but he would always take the time out of his routine to teach me something or better yet, let me work out with him. He always encouraged me to pursue my dream and told me I would be a success even when I doubted myself. His generosity was beyond limits. Any chance I could and always at his invitation, I would drive out to Athletic Element to watch Chad train...his energy and knowledge were boundless and he had a special way of relating to people. I wanted to be around him as much as I could. Chad was a star you wanted to hitch your wagon to...I will always remember him that way and for the kindness he showed me and the good advice he shared with me. Lisa, we have never met but you were everything to Chad...He spoke of you often and he adored you...I know he will always be with you. You were his reason of being and nothing will ever take away the memories you share. I only hope that time will bring you some comfort from the loss of such an exceptional man. I will never forget Chad and it is my solemn duty to pass on what he has taught me...I only hope I could do it so well...R.I.P. Chad, I will miss you dearly. You were a true friend that gave without ever asking for a thing in return....I will always aspire to be like you and one day you'll be proud to learn I am a success. I will not let you down. I owe it to you....

An idol to all, Chad exemplified strength and positivity, which was passed off unto everyone he touched! We did not just lose a great friend, but a great man. Chad's legacy will be carried on by those who worked with him in all facets of the term. I can only hope I can come close to emulating the type of man Chad was.

We love you buddy, and we will miss you. As you did on Earth, keep looking over us in the skies. You will always be with us!
