Charlene BOX Obituary
age 89, of St. Petersburg, passed away April 4, 2015. Born in Thayer, NE and grew up in Ashland. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Mary Laune, her sibling Roger, and her husband Charles Box. Charlene is survived by her siblings, Joy, Mary Lou, Pete and Dean; her children, Mary Baker and Jim Box; grandchildren, Jeremy, David, Michael Baker; Mallory and Logan Box; and six great-grandchildren. Charlene graduated high school and attended the University of Nebraska before the war intervened and she relocated to Ft. McClellan in Alabama where she met her husband.She and Charles were married in Ashland and lived there where they were active in many community groups. They relocated to Lake Wales, FL in 1973, where they enjoyed golf and social activities. Later in life Charlene was an avid reader, card player and puzzle-solver. Until the very end she was strong-willed and will be missed by many. Memorial service will be 3:30 pm Wednesday, at Anderson McQueen, 2201 Dr. MLK N., St. Petersburg.
