Charlene Cotton

Charlene was a resident at The Waterford for the past two years and will be greatly missed by her friends and staff. She always offered to help with events and enjoyed meeting new residents. Such a special lady!

I knew Charlene in the late 1950s when she worked for Transco. She was a wonderful person and so full of life. I had lost track of her many years ago and sad to read of your loss. We dated for a while.

She was my cousin, though more of an aunt, as she was raised by my grandmother. She was a classy lady. Have fond memories of her growing up. So glad she had such a full life, loving family and countless friends. Very saddened at her passing.

Charlene was one of the adults at South Main Baptist Church who made a difference in my life. I don't remember if she was in the Sunday School class my father taught, or just in the Adult Sunday School Department when he was a teacher there. She was always kind to my friends and me, and encouraged us through her actions, and not just her words, to be good Christians. My prayers go out to her family at this time.

Charlene was my modeling buddy for several years at Maison Lee Studio. For several months after my graduation from high school she would drive by and take me to church at South Main Baptist. I was honored to be one of her bridesmaids when she and Bill Blythe were married. She was the friend who introduced me to my husband of 51 years. I cherish my memories of Charlene.

Charlene got me my first date with my wife of 51 years. She was good at fixing up dates. I had one date with her and she was very out going. Bless her heart. Best wishes to her family. She has been a life long friend.
