Charlene Ferguson Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 16, 2024.
Charlene Victoria Ferguson, lovingly known as Char, passed away on July 11, 2024, in Palm Desert, California, at the age of 78, surrounded by her loving family. Born on August 14, 1945, in Los Angeles, California, she was the cherished daughter of Charles Cunningham Klein and Bernice Aubrey Shandy, both of whom preceded her in death.

Charlene was a graduate of South Gate High School and a respected cosmetologist who, through her diligent work, became the proprietor of two beauty salons, earning accolades as an esteemed color specialist. Her dedication to her craft brought her recognition far and wide, leading to opportunities to represent Mastey on an international stage.

In addition to her professional achievements, Mrs. Ferguson was a woman of many interests, finding joy in the art of quilting, the precision of sewing, the camaraderie of golfing, and the challenge of card games. She was a beacon of love and energy to her family and friends, who revered her for her kindness, her unwavering positivity, and the happiness she spread.

She is survived by her loving husband of nearly six decades, Mr. Gary Ferguson; her beloved children, Danny Ferguson and Laura Sykes, and her esteemed son-in-law, Tim Sykes. She was a doting grandmother to Marissa Reyes, Stephen Ferguson, Christopher Ferguson, and Troy Chandley, and was further blessed to be a great-grandmother to nine.

Charlene's life was a testament to love, beauty, and the pursuit of passion. Her memory will be cherished in the hearts of those who knew her, and her spirit will live on in the stories shared by her family. She was the embodiment of grace and will be profoundly missed by those she has left behind.

May Charlene Victoria Ferguson rest in peace, and may her memory be a blessing to us all and the time we spent with her. She will be forever missed and hold a special place in our hearts. Donations can be made in Charlene's honor to: Kittyland Cat & Kitten Rescue, 67600 18th Ave, Desert Hot Springs, CA 92241.

We are so sorry to learn only now of Charlene“s passing. We were neighbors for a time at Lake Almanor and will miss her. She was very talented, generous with volunteering in the community, and always enthusiastic.
