John E. Hepschmidt, Jr.

John E. Hepschmidt, Jr., 79, of Lower Paxton Township, passed away Friday at the Carolyn Croxton Slane Hospice Residence.
He was born in Harrisburg on January 2, 1929 to the late John E. Hepschmidt, Sr. and Mary M. (Schmidt) Hepschmidt.
He was the former President of Inter-State Tile and Mantel Company. John was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church and the Colonial Country Club. He was a former member of the Harrisburg Country Club, Past President of the Harrisburg Builders Exchange and a Korean War Army Veteran.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, LouAnn Hepschmidt; two sisters, Mary Todoroff of Harrisburg and Barbara Fisher of Hummelstown.
He is survived by his wife, E. Louise "Lou" Hepschmidt; his brother, Phillip Hepschmidt and his wife Linda, all of Harrisburg; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 27th at 11 a.m., at the Hetrick Funeral Home, 3125 Walnut Street, Harrisburg. Rev. Dr. Ronald Parks will be officiating. There will be an evening visitation on Friday, December 26th from 6-8 p.m., and on Saturday from 10-11 a.m., at the funeral home. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to his church at 4700 Locust Lane, Harrisburg, PA 17109 or to Hospice of Central Pennsylvania, P.O. Box 266, Enola, PA 17025.
