Charlene Mary Levy 1950-2024

Never losing her optimism and confidence, Charlene Levy, 73, passed away peacefully on August 24th 2024 surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. Charlene was a beacon of light whose sunny optimism and exuberant love of life lifted the spirits of everyone in her family and her wide circle of beloved friends. Charlene's generosity, compassion, and kindness, leavened with her sparkling wit and a wicked sense of humor, wrapped friends and family in a warm and joyful embrace of open-hearted, unconditional love.

After a long and successful professional career as Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President at Medical Healthcare Solutions, Charlene moved to Myrtle Beach, SC to enjoy her retirement with her husband Michael and dog Milo. Charlene's natural magnetism, generosity, and outgoing spirit soon attracted a loyal group of friends who returned her kindnesses with love and devotion through all of her days. Fun-loving, high-spirited, supportive, and gracious, Charlene sparkled with humor, sarcasm, and stubbornness that both exasperated and enlivened the enduring and loving bonds she shared with her family and friends. She was happiest when with her beloved family and her circle of friends, speeding down the highway with Michael on their hotrod motor trike, dancing to tropical tunes on board a questionably legal but hilariously fun pirate ship, or trekking through places near and far with her family. Charlene was funny, fearless, exuberant, joyful, loving, quick-witted, and kind. Her legacy of love and generosity will never be forgotten by all she knew.

Charlene was born in Lowell, MA on December 17th, 1950, and retained her proud New England accent her entire life. She was the proud mother of two beloved children, Drs. Jennifer Perkins of Corte Madera, CA, and Shawn Levy of Carlsbad CA. She was married for forty-nine years to the love of her life, Mr. Michael Levy, sharing constant joy, laughter, and adventure. Charlene was preceded in death by her brother Kevin Dauzuk, her mother Rose Dauzuk, and her father Casamir Dauzuk. She is survived by her husband, her children, grandchildren Avery and Miles Perkins, Jack and Benjamin Levy, her brother Dennis Dauzuk and his wife Darlene, sister-in-law Carol Dauzuk, her constant canine companion Milo, many cousins, nieces and nephews, and a joyful cadre of loving and supportive friends.

A celebration of life will be held at a future date.
