Charles Aaron Blackson, 69 of Elkton, MD, died Thursday, April 21, 2011 in the Christiana Hospital, Newark, DE. A lifelong resident of Cecil County, he was born in North East, MD, on January 25, 1942, the son of the late Charles T. "Buck" and the late Velma M. (Reynolds) Blackson. He attended the Cecil County Activities Center, Elkton, MD. He enjoyed ducks, wildlife and fishing. He also liked John Deere tractors, farming and loved watching movies. Survivors include nephew: Taylor L. Blackson and his wife Laura of Townsend, DE, their children, Chad Blackson of Middletown, DE and Josh Blackson of Townsend, DE; nephew: Todd Blackson of Chesapeake City, MD; nephew: Ted Blackson of Newark, DE: niece: Tish Jordon of Waxau, NC; niece: Trish Moroz, her husband Mark and their daughters, Haley and Carlie of Hockessin, DE; and his beloved Rottweiler dogs: Leea and Rudy. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Mark L. Blackson and his sister, Phyllis A. Bailor. Funeral services, conducted by Rev. Mary Browne will be held Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, with visitation for family and friends beginning at 1:00 PM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations to the Cecil County SPCA, in care of the funeral home.
