Charles Blank Obituary
Charles Wayne Blank of West Jefferson passed away Monday, May 25, 2015 at Ashe Assisted Living. He was 84.
Originally a native of St. Louis, Mo., he moved to West Jefferson in 1997. A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, Charles served during the Korean Conflict. He earned his bachelor's degree from St. Louis University. Mr. Blank retired as a regional manager from Alexander and Alexander Inc. and Fidelity and Deposit Co. of Baltimore, Md. Charles also had many fond memories of his constant companion, his dog, Rudy.
Surviving are his children: Gary Blank and wife, Sally, of Lone Jack, Mo., Terese Gamphor and husband, Danny, of Barnette, Mo., Gregory Blank and wife, Kathryn, of Centerview, Mo. and Curtis Blank and wife, Trish, of Independence, Mo.; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and his close friend of many years, Heidi Apel of Wilmington.
Services will be private.
Memorials may be made to the Ashe Services for Aging, 180 Chattyrob Lane, West Jefferson, NC 28694.
