Charles Blevins

Charles Edward "Charlie" Blevins BLUFF CITY, Tenn. Charles Edward "Charlie" Blevins, age 59, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, Dec. 15, 2011, in the Bristol Regional Medical Center. He was born May 6, 1952 a son of the late Robert and Della Mae Logan Blevins. He worked for 33 years in sales at Southern Refrigeration. Growing up he attended Fairmount Presbyterian, and was a 1970 graduate of East High School. He loved hunting and fishing and was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He is survived by his loving wife, Carol Cleo Cummings Blevins; son, Charles David "Chuck" Blevins and wife, Danielle; granddaughter, Makina Widner; sisters, Louvennia Skeens and husband, Roy, and Elizabeth Ann Guy; brothers, Bill Blevins, Bob Blevins and wife, Doris, Irby Blevins, Larry Blevins and wife, Margaret, James Blevins; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to express a thank you to Select Specialty Hospital for their outstanding care to all the staff, especially to Anthony, Mike, Stephen and Danny. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, 2011, at Virginia Avenue Baptist Church with Pastor Albert Bentley, Dr. Stan Anderson, and special friend and neighbor, Jerry Opp. The burial will follow in Eastern Heights Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be his son, Chuck Blevins, Tim Woods, Tony Conway, Alan Oylear, Robert Oylear, Kenneth Tillison, Joe Graham, and Patrick Price.
