Over the last thirty years, Charles has been a great friend. I learned so much from him, and we learned together. His curiosity about finance, his love of grammar, both french and english, made our work ( was it work at 11:00 at night??) so much fun. I am so proud to have met him as a young man and over many years, get to know his love for life, work, and his family..I saw him become a "maitre" in his field, but more importantly, I benefited from his love of life, learning and people. He was always available to me for cousel, and my life has been so much better because of him.
His great struggle during the last few years is an example for us all. Carole, we thank you for the incredible courage, love and loyalty during this time. We will all cherish and miss him.

To Carole and family.
The picture of Charles that appeared in the newspaper on January 3rd reminds us of the person that Charles was...engaging, smart and how much he liked greeting everyone. To use an expression, (perhaps colloquial), he was a first class act, hard to follow. You are not the only ones proud of what Charles did in life, we all are. Sheila and I, and my daughter, also remember Charles, and you, Carole, fondly, on the ski hills at Whistler leading the new generation of snowboarders. Our sincerest condolences.
