Although I harbor so many wonderful memories of my Uncle Charles. One stands out above them all. He took myself, my sister, his kids and another of my cousins, Carl Mazorek through the back country north of Sanibel Island to a place which was all natural, Caya Costa. There I was able to snorkel and collect pristine seashells and had an epic day on my vacation. Later he would take us to an only accessible by boat on Cabbage Key for a great lunch. Because of his involvement with us kids as well as his brother ( George, my Dad)s love for the sea, I took up SCUBA diving. An activity that has been a wonderful part of my life as a volunteer archaeologist for awhile as well as other positions that have been a memorable part of my life. Hey Thanks Uncle Charles and `Dad´ for a great sport that I still am involved in to this day. Now I am a vintage collector.

My first memory is meeting Dean Bonser in the Fall of 1973 at a picnic for SPEA students after I was admitted to the MPA program. I am forever grateful for the opportunity and the experience. My sincere and deepest sympathy to his family, friends and the SPEA community.
