A wonderful, dear man...loved by so many at the San Dieguito United Methodist Church in Encinitas, California. He had the rare gifts of both being a great teacher of he Bible as well as having a compassionate shepherd's heart. Deeply affected my growing up years in the church. Always gave you his full attention and valued you as a person. Warm, inspiring, and walked the walk. Truly the hands and feet of Jesus. And that laugh!...I can hear it now. Can't wait to see him again in eternity. I'm sure he'll be on the greeting committee!

Rev. Charlie Boss has been a mentor to me and a number of pastors in the California-Pacific Annual Conference. He was a true pastor, caring, administratively skilled, a church builder, and an inspiration. As I began my ministry he suggested I attend a seminar with American Institute for Church Growth, which I did. On behalf of our Retired Clergy and Spouses of our Annual Conference CHARMS, we send our love and support to his children Edward, Stephen, Mary and Margaret. May the Lord bless and comfort them.
