Charles Bowles

Chuck was a decent, kind and very respectable gentleman.
I remember seeing his smiling face all over Northampton and especially when he would come in to the restaurant for lunch or dinner. Very sorry to hear of his passing,our sympathies to the family.

My condolences to Chuck's family.

I remember when he performed as the "Church Lady," at Northampton High making us all laugh. Chuck was a man in our community who was admired, respected and will be missed by many.

He will not not be forgotten

Donna - so sad to hear of Charles' passing. Even when our loved ones are sick, it is still so very hard to see them go. I will always remember his spirit and that bit of 'sass' in his eye. Take care of you as you know he would want you to. Rest in your memories and know that he loves you still. Sending you Love and Light, Lifting you in prayer.

A really good man and a friend to the community. Gave me some good advice when I was starting up my business. RIP Chuck. Many people are going to miss you.

I am so very saddened to read of Charles's transition. What a good man and what a huge loss for his family and for our community. We had some great times during the decades of Northampton's growth and Charles was a big part of that success. so much accomplished in so little time...RIP, my friend.I hope there are many precious memories that will sustain the family through this sad time.

My deepest sympathies to the Bowles family. Chuck was an inspiration to many when we worked with him at Carburs, THE RIBIT Room, and later the DEPOT.

Aren't we lucky to have crossed paths with Chuck. Kids in school together, impressive town moderator that helped Hadley immensely, generously donating to too many functions to count, babysitting for Chris, celebrating the most outrageous/fun 40th ever, and being a forever friend. We will all miss his humor, his infectious smile & laughter, his genuine & deep concern for all, and his love for life. Donna, Michael, Chris, & family, we send our deepest heartfelt sympathies. May he rest in peace.

I was so sorry to hear of the passing of Charles, a friend since elementary school. I hate we never got to have the beach reunion, with Charles and Donna, we were planning for some of our former classmates. Prayers for Donna and family.

Chuck was Chairman of the the Board of Directors of the Northampton Visiting Nursing Association when they were going through some serious changes. At his urging, the entire management team and some Board members were sponsored to attend "Human Factors" to learn about how to interact more effectively, and enable us to function more as a team. That experience had a significant impact on us all, and has been a life-long touchstone.
I have always thought of him as a man of vision and integrity.
And well, Carburs restaurant in Hadley was a great place, and their salad with hot bacon vinaigrette lives on in my memory.

What a gift from God. Charles was such a good friend at Durham High School. I will be eternally grateful for his friendship...and his help in our Geometry class. I was clueless and he was so smart. He called me Champ. Rest In Peace Pro. Heaven's gain. God bless all.

I knew Chuck since the Carbor's days, then Union Station when it was called the Depot. Fierce friend and always ready to help. He will be missed.
