Mr. Charles M. Call, 91, of Gloucester passed away on Wednesday evening February 6, 2019 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House following a brief illness. He is the husband of Shirley A. (Parsons) Call with whom he shared 65 years of marriage. Charles was born February 20, 1927 in Rockport, he is the son of the late John and Ethel (Parsons) Call. Charles was a lifelong resident of Gloucester, and a graduate of Rockport High School. He was an Electrician and worked for Poirier Electric, RE Parsons, Jr. Inc. and Peter Ferazzi Electrical. Charles retired in 1991. He also worked for Gloucester Building Supply. Charles enjoyed playing Bingo at St. Ann's, Golfing, fishing and going to yard sales with his brother-in-law Charles Williamson. He was also a former member of the Tyrian Lodge of Masons AF & AM. In addition to his loving wife Shirley, Charles is survived by his daughters Heidi J. Aiello and her husband Thomas and Wendy L. Call all of Gloucester. He is also survived by his loving grandchildren Matthew Aiello, Michelle Smith and her husband Eric, Nicholas Aiello, Derek and Mikhaela Call-Frontiera, his cherished great grandchildren Drew Aiello, Alex Aiello and Jeremy Frontiera - Elwell. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law Lois Williamson and her husband Charles of Gloucester, Carolyn Elwell and her husband Charles of Rockport, Eleanor Silva of Gloucester, Crissa Parsons of NH, Patricia Call of Connecticut, his brother-in-law Robert Parsons and his wife Helen of Gloucester. His beloved dog Bailey as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Charles is predeceased by his brothers John and his wife Beulah, Russell and his wife Jean and Ronald Call, his sisters Ita Currier and her husband Russell and Elizabeth Call, his brothers-in-law Myron Parsons and Paul Silva. In keeping with Charles' wishes, funeral services and burial will be held privately. Donations in his memory may be made to Cape Ann Animal Aid, 4 Paws Lane Gloucester, MA 01930 or the Kaplan Family Hospice House, 78 Liberty St. Danvers, MA 01923
