Survived by his dedicated and loving wife, Tammy Childers; children, Kanan McCommack and Bailey Childers; stepson, Chris Hendricks; siblings, Guy, Tracy and Thom. Scott was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial service Sat. April 26, 2025,10 AM at Living Home Baptist Church, 6310 Lyon Rd, Garland, TX. Send donations to Alzheimer's research.

Scotty....and then there were three. Forever it was either the six of us, or Mom and Dad and us four Childers' kids. So many times you were relied on while Dad was out at sea, "I'm going to the commissary, Scott's in-charge". So much put on your shoulders, but you took it, carried it, and did your best, even though you were learning as you went. I never knew what was going on inside you, didn't always see eye to eye, but what I did know was that you were of your word. You and Guy were tasked early on to protect me and later on even when it came down to my own children, you did your best to be there like always, thank you. You have earned your rest, bet it was great to see Mom and Dad again, love your sis , Tracy
