Charlie was a great man even as early as his student days at Liberty University. I knew Charlie as a member of the Liberty Emergency Services. He was a true servant of our lord and great friend whose memories will never be lost. "Enoch walked with God; then he was no more, because God took him away." (NIV) May Charlie enjoy his walk with God.

In memory of Dr. Charles Davidson, I will not let he and his staff's teachings on great servant-leadership be for naught, as I have initiated my Doctoral Thesis Project of Establishing the M7 Dream Builder Pastoral Care Ministry: A Christ-Centered Spiritual Oasis for Women with Dreams Deferred. And if the Lord says the same, I would like to train Champions for Christ as a professor at my Alma Mater,Liberty University as I have been inspired by Dr. Davidson's Spiritual leadership. My family sends prayers of condolence to Dr. Davidson's wife and family at this time of unimaginable grief. Rest in peace, Dr. Davidson, a great man of God.

Never knew Charlie in person but we share a friend in common, Sue and Creig Wilson. Sue would talk about you all and how much she loved you all. I know Creig thought the world of Charlie. I wish I could of met you for Sue talked of what a good man of God you both were. My prayers are with the family. May the Lord wrap His loving arms around all of you now and in the days ahead. Keep the faith and know that the Lord calls us home when He is ready for us to join Him again. God Bless--Darlene Winegar

Charlie was a true leader and loved the Lord. A testament to his life one only needs to take a look at his family, who he talked about... His ministry to his students..they are serving across the globe. But how I remember him is as a fellow brother in arms. He impacted the lives of many servicemen. I am honored to share that brotherhood that only is understood by those who have served this nation, but most importantly, the Lord. While words cannot express the lots to Charlie's family, I am sure that God and the angels are rejoining at his presence.
Old soldiers never die, they just fade away. Well done, Charlie.

On May 13th, 2017 I will be graduating from Liberty University with a Doctor of Ministry degree. I would not be graduating were it not for the excellent guidance that I received from Dr. Davidson. Dr. Davidson was true to his calling, even till the very end. He was helping me with my doctoral thesis project from his hospital bed. I am humbled by the genuine Christian tough love that he had for his students. Dr. Davidson made me a better husband, father, minister, and pastoral counselor. My father served in the Air Force, and I was raised as a young child on an Air Force base in Nebraska. I could not be prouder of Dr. Davidson receiving the Bronze Star. That means something to me, it is very special. It could not have gone to a better man. My prayers go out to Doc's family.

Roydene and family, I am praying for you all during this difficult time. I have not seen you guys since high school, but always looked up to Charlie and you. I grew up in the neighborhood beside Charlie and I am so saddened for your loss. My brother Mark played football and ran track with Charlie and I remember what a great athlete he was. I am so impressed by Charlie's life accomplishments and how he spent his life serving God! I am praying for you all!

Charlie (Chaplain Davidson) made a huge impact on many lives. I was fortunate to train under him at Liberty University. I remember working with the single's ministry for a semester and getting to know him, his wife Roydenne and their children. Charlie always encouraged me and I know that he prayed for me when he learned that I developed hydrocephalus and was medically retired. I remember running into him a couple of months ago and seeing how much he was hurting. I know that we all prayed for healing and that God answered our prayers, not as we had hoped, but we know that he in heaven now. My prayers are with his family and friends. One can say he finished the race well.

We are deeply saddened by Charlie's passing. We grieve for his family. They are truly one of the best families we know. Their love for God and strength in the midst of one of the most difficult times in life are testimonies of the way Charlie led his family. We are so honored to have known Charlie and look forward to seeing him again one day. Our love and prayers are with them at this time. - The Albans

Charlie's example was seen through his wife and girls as I had the honor of getting to know them through Ladies Bible Study. What an example of a man who honored and love The Lord his God, his wife and his family.

Lt. Col. Charlie Davidson, husband father brother grandfather Pastor fellow Wingman a TRUE MAN OF GOD, my friend. I cannot begin to put into words the impact this man had and will remain to have on my life. He lived a life of Godly testimony to everyone. His love for his wife, son, daughters, sons-in-law and grandchildren were so effident. His love and compassion for his savior was in his every word and his very daily walk. His love for his Country was so effideant in his service in the U.S. Air Force and to ALL those serving. His impact had no boarders, he reached others around the world for his God. His wife was right there by his side always. The two of them impacted me alone beyond any words or thanks I could ever say. His son and daughters are an shining example of their fathers teachings and love. His home going is one of the hardest ones for me in many years because of his reach into my life and because of his dear sweet wife. I praise God that one day I WILL see him again on that glorious day. Until then my brother, I'll take it from here and do my best to serve as you have served. I will have your wife and family's 6 for as long as I have breath. I love you Charlie, while this is fare well, it is only for a short time for life in heaven is for Eternity. I salute you sir for a job well done.
