My dear Susie, you and Chuck were blessed with a match made in heaven. You will be with him again in heaven. I love you both so much. So remember we don´t look backward and ask why? We look forward and ask ... what´s next?

I first met Charles and Susan at the Sea Horse restaurant. I used to see them every weekend. The first thing that Chuck would do is ask how are you doing today and then he would ask about my family. Susan and Chuck would wait to hear what I had to say. Chuck always had a smile and a kind word for everyone. I feel blessed to have known him. My heart goes out to Susan and all of his close, friends and family who will miss being in the presence of his smiling face and great sense of humor.
One thing I do know for sure. Chuck is with the father enjoying his next new adventure in life. We will just have to wait our turn to see him again.

We have known Chuck over 30 years when he first came into Susan´s life. We immediately hit it off and it didn´t take long to realize what a great guy he was. Chuck never met a stranger and I never saw him without a smile and a hug. It didn´t take long to realize he was special.

Over the years we boated, celebrated birthdays, holidays, Christmas on Grace to win first place in the Passa Grille boat Parade, among other adventures. We had tons of laughs and happy times watching the Bucs win or lose while playing Shanghai on Sunday afternoons. Wonderful memories that will last forever of Chuck who lit up our lives.

Chuck and Susan became our family and best friends. His passing has left all of us empty and heartbroken. Rest in peace, my friend. We love you.

Our beloved Chuck will be remembered fondly for his Christmas morning elf-capades delivering the Dawson´s special cranberry/nut jam. His neighborly cheer for many years on Sylvan Ramble Street warmed our hearts as he arrived in his elf hat with treats!

At Chuck´s 50th birthday party, he danced with my mom and held her tight as this grand ole gal, in her advanced age, was a bit unsteady. It was a priceless moment for us all!

Most recently, Chuck and Susan danced the night away at our 25th wedding anniversary party and truth be told, the next morning he could barely get out of bed. He reported that it was well worth it!

There were many special admirable and memorable times with Chuck. His zest for life, thoughtfulness, humility, and charm, made him an irresistible friend. We can only imagine how he will imprint his style in his eternal home with the angels and saints. And upon arrival, surely he will be greeted with the final message of, "well done, my dear servant, Chuck"...

Rest in Peace my dear friend. You will be missed.

I sincerely enjoyed meeting and knowing Chuck and Susan for the last several years. Chuck had a great sense of humor and was a fighter. I will remember his spirit and great sense of adventure. I am deeply sorry for Susan's loss and will keep her in my prayers.

I first met Chuck about 23 years ago and became his primary plumbing contractor for many projects. He had a loyal clientele of attorneys, whom he built many homes for over the years. That said a lot about his character from the start. I figured if he had the trust of attorneys, he must have been good. He was always honest and loyal to my employees and myself. We had many conversations about his family and his traveling adventures with his wife, Susan. They lived a good life together. We will all miss him and have lasting memories of what a great person he was.

Any day we ran into Chuck and Susan at the Pass-a-Grille Yacht Club was a good day. Chuck had the admirable quality of setting everyone at ease immediately, and it always seemed that we picked up right where we left off. The combination of Chuck and Susan always lifted my heart. Chuck, you will be missed. Fair winds and smooth waters, friend.

I only knew Chuck and Susan for 6-7 years, and I think Susan´s description fits him perfectly - a competent, confident gentleman. We were on the Church´s Facillities Committee, and Chuck´s attitude was always, "This isn´t so bad. We got this."

I have had the absolute pleasure to know Chuck for quite a few years. I loved him. Just being around him made you feel good. He was such a loving person to everyone he came across. He was such a fighter and never in bad spirits :) I will be there to honor him on the 9th

Chuck always made me smile because he always wore a smile. Can´t remember a time that I saw him without one.

We worked with Chuck during our times with NARI and beyond. What stands out the most was Chuck's cheerful personality. Chuck always had a smile on his face and had a way of making you feel better about your day. He has left us way too soon and he will be missed by us. His memory will certainly live on in all of our minds who knew him.

I worked with Susan and got to know Chuck at our firm events. Chuck was always happy and a really kind and thoughtful person. It was clear how much he loved Susan. He has left this earth too soon. May He Rest In Peace. My thoughts are with Susan and I know this is a hard time. Please take comfort in the love of your family and friends. May Chuck's memory be a blessing. Mary Colding

Chuck is one of the great ones. Every time we saw Chuck he had a smile on his face and a positive attitude. Myself and all of my McCabinet coworkers will miss him dearly.

As a specialty contractor for almost 40 years, I can say Chuck was the only general contractor I actually liked working with. Honest, fair, and down-to-earth, we shared an ethic I found lacking in other contractors. This man walked his talk, and he was rare man among lesser beings.

You couldn't ask for better neighbors than Chuck and Susan. I have been blessed for almost 10 years to be living next door. I had the privilege to sail with them on their beautiful sailboat Grace, share sunsets on the beach, toast sunsets from our balcony and knew that if ever anything was needed, we could depend on each other, in good times and in not so good. Susan and Chuck's relationship was simply a marvel. It is rare to find two more loving and devoted souls. Chuck left this Earth too soon and will forever be missed. It has been a true honor to have known him, experienced his many kindnesses and seen his deep sense of humor. Smooth sailing, Chuck.
