Charles Michael De La Torre

Charles Michael De La Torre "Charlie D", 43, of Rochelle, passed away unexpected in his home on Wednesday March 7, 2012. He was born February 22, 1969 in Aurora. He was a 1987 graduate of West Aurora High School and was employed as a shipping/receiving clerk at Dun-Rite Tool and Machine Company in Cortland, IL. He was a huge heavy metal fan, especially OZZY, and loved camping and spending time with his family and friends who will all miss him dearly. Charlie is survived by his wife, Shelli; father, Dan De La Torre of Aurora; mother, Barb (Paul) King of Rochelle; his children who meant the world to him, Megan, Cynthia, Madison, Daniel and his honorary son, Bradley; granddaughter, Aubrey; sisters, Teresa (Shane) Davis of Amboy and Cheryl (Ron) Fasulo of Rochelle; aunts, Gloria Spitz and Patricia Nicholas; uncles, Douglas De La Torre and Dennis De La Torre; longtime friend, Charlie Brown along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and great friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal great grandparents, his maternal grandparents, his beloved "Grandpa D", aunt, Judy and several cousins.Memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2012 from 1 PM until time of service 4 PM at Healy Chapel, 332 W. Downer Pl., Aurora, IL 60506. Memorials may be made to the family.
