I have fond memories of joining "Duncan Foods Co." in 1964. I played softball in with Charles and his nephew and we played right next to the coffee plant where he had a softball field built for employees. Charles was instrumental in changing the company from a segregated workforce to one big family. He ordered all drinking fountains, restrooms, cafeterias, and company picnics to be combined. It was a great time for all. He will be missed, but he is surely in Heaven now.
