To Charlie's family
I write on behalf of Charlie's first cousin, Duncan Robertson of Saskatoon, son of Florence Elliott Robertson.
Florence was Burt's sister.
Duncan visited the Bradwell Cemetery recently where Charlie's Elliott grandparents are buried.
I also write on behalf of my mother, Isabel Robertson Barnsley, who knew Charlie from Agricultural Society events.
Our sincere Condolences,
Catherine Barnsley
(Cousin to Duncan on the Robertson side)

We are saddened to learn about the passing of Charlie.I (Helmer) attended Chesley school so many years ago and it was during those years that we got to know Burt and Effie and all of their siblings.Charlie was a wonderful neighbour, always willing to give a hand during those hard times of trying to sustain a quality of life that would bring a measure of comfort to our
family. We have fond memories of Charlie and they will remain with us for they are indelible. Our sicere sympathy to the Elliott family and their relatives

I knew Charlie since 1971 at Pion Era in Saskatoon. I will miss his calming personality and smile. His trade mark hat, walk and relationships with people and horses is legendary. He joins many steam, gas and horse people who have gone before him. With great respect and condolences.

We enjoyed the Wagon Trek with Charlie as our Wagon Master from Saskatoon to Lloyminster in 2003, the 100 year anniversary of the Barr Colonist. His handsome team of Chip and Dale were great leaders. He was grieved to lose Chip a few months later. We met him and his daughter at Peggy's Cove in 2009. Not many cowboys on those rocks, so we easily spotted him. Rest in peace, and lead the wagon train on high. Joyce Radke.
