Charles E. "Gene" Fleming, 77, of North Huntingdon, died Friday, May 9, 2014, at his home. He was born Sept. 24, 1936, in McKeesport, son of the late Cecil Fleming and Helen Stone. Prior to his retirement, Charles was employed as a driver by Napa Auto Parts and formerly employed by U.S. Steel, Duquesne Works. He was a veteran of the Army 101st Airborne Division at Fort Campbell, Ky. from 1954 to 1957. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and was a life member of the Irwin Sportsmans Club. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Teri Lynn; and an infant grandson, Zachary Fleming. He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Sally Lou England; one son, James T. (Jill) Fleming, of Manor; two grandchildren, Ian and Alexis Fleming. Included as family are Sheri and George Chernesky; and grandson, Tyler Chernesky. He will be missed by his two faithful friends, Casey and Cinnamon, who gave him all of their unconditional love.
