One look at (cousin) Charlie’s face and I broke out into a smile. That’s what he did made me smile. I saw Charlie and Audrey day after day when I was small and got to enjoy witnessing the birth of their first four children. One after another they entered this world and they were absolutely thrilled time after time. I was always welcome in their home, and enjoyed every single visit! This was a very, very special to have in my life. a very special husband and wife and a very, wonderful
family! What a blessing to us all. Rest in love and peace, Charlie!

Dear Furey Cousins all,
Sending you support, love and heartfelt prayers in the loss of your father. Your love and faithful care over these later years hopefully dulls some of the pain of grief. Since I heard of his death from Jerry, I have been remembering Uncle Charlie and Aunt Audrey. I have a picture of Audrey, Sue and I with the bride and we two flower girls on the porch of 169 Washington Street. I remember visiting their apartment on Walnut Street(?) after one of you were born and Leigh and I were living with Grandma Waring and Mom was in the Sanitorium in the 50’s. I remember your Dad driving the oil truck, your grandmother Furey living nearby when you were on North Street. That hous was the most fun to visit and you kids were full of energy. Always there was the sharing of genealogy snd the Waring Descendant List.
It is the end of an era for us in terms of parents, Aunts and Uncles. How blessed we have been to know snd love theses dear ancestors. I send you much love❤

My first encounter with Charlie was when I met him in the 50's. My husband worked for Charlie at Furey's Oil for many years delivering oil to his many customers. If a customer was short of cash or actually did not have the
money, the oil was delivered anyway. He was so giving. I spoke to him a couple of weeks ago and he was so
happy to hear from me. He had nothing but praise for his daughters who took daily care of him. My prayers and thoughts are with the family . I'm sure he has a nice place waiting for him in Heaven. Rest in peace. Theresa Arpei and family.

My family lived " around the corner " from the Furey family in a time when family, neighbors and community were a tight knit part of living. Charlie Furey was a pillar in that foundation. My parents and 5 siblings were so connected to Charlie & Audrey and the 11 kids it was like having a second set of parents and brothers & sisters. It was such a great time! We lost a Legend and I wish we could have all been together to celebrate such a wonderful life and memory of Charlie. I am sure Art has a Heavenly Tee time set up for round of 18.
