The loss of a terrific person like Duke is never easy to understand. His energetic loving soul lives on. Memories of his compassion, infectious smile, love of family and friends and desire to always help the "little guy" will surely stay with everyone that knew him. Tammy and I send our condolences and prayers of peace, strength and faith for all members of the Furhh family.

Duke was a friend of mine. Reggie Bowman introduced me to Duke some 20 to 25 years ago. Duke was a fixture and piece of downtown Houston. I would drop in on him and he always had a smile on his face. I can remember Duke dropping in on Reggie on Nance Street and Reggie would greet him with, "It's the Dukester"! After Reggie passed in 2012, I carried on the tradition of greeting Duke as Reggie did. My heart is broken, I can't imagine the pain his family is in. God bless you Duke! You were one of the good guys!
