Charles Gambill Obituary

GAMBILL, Charles J. III, passed away December 5, 2014, at age 65. A son of the late Charles J. Gambill Jr. and Marian Morris Gambill, he graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School. He had a life-long interest in foreign languages and world cultures which he studied at the University of Virginia (B.A., 1970) and the University of Pennsylvania. He was a Cryptologic Technician 2nd class in the U.S. Navy, specializing in foreign language radio and telephone communications. He earned his CPA license in 1988 after studies at Virginia Commonwealth University and was a CPA with Gambill and Company for 25 years. Charles was also the treasurer of the Gesang-Verein Virginia. He will be missed by his stepmother, Dorothy Ruth Gambill; brothers, David Gambill (Janet) and Michael Gambill (Karla); sister, Kathleen Gambill Hennessey (Daniel); and...

We are so sorry to learn of Charlie Joe's passing. He was such a caring man. Jon really enjoyed his tours of your dad's basement and all of its treasures - and the stories behind them.
