Miss you Dad-
You instilled your sense of adventure and curiosity in us all, taking us on many many outdoor adventures without fancy frills, which as we know now, are really not needed.Pretty amazing for a New York City boy. You were happy with the same old clothes and tools, but a new camera, lens or computer every once in a while what what you enjoyed the most. We will all miss you, Rusty, your beloved dog will too. You made it hard for me to find a man as tough as you as you set the bar high. You did indeed touch many lives in positive way and was obvious with the number of friends that showed up to your service. You would have been humbled to know you touched so many lives. You were one of a kind and will be missed by all , especially the Gerstons. Your daughter- Laura

Dear Daddy, We made peace at the end. It is a treasure to me that we finally understood each other. From you I have my love of the outdoors, classical music, and more recently, dogs. As Mom said, in response to a question from grandson Brett, you filled your bucket list several times over. I always respected your ability and facility with mathematics, and I will treasure your slide rules from your early engineering days. It was only at your funeral that I realize how many lives you touched in a positive way.
Love, Jan (daughter)

Dear Sandy and Chick's wonerful extended family,
I was so saddened to learn of Chick's passing. He and I were close friends during the many AOTC activities we attended and during our years on the AOTC Board of Directors. I recall that during the few times that disputes arose on the Board, Chick was always a calming influence and gave us well thought-out counsel.
I am planning to attend Chick's services this afternoon. It will be good to see the many AOTC "family" members who I am sure will be there but so sad to say goodbye to a dear and valued friend.
Sandy, I know mere words are of little comfort at a time like this but please know that many of us, who knew and loved Chick, share in your grief.
With heartfelt sympathy,
Bob Riordan
