Mr. and Mrs. Giles, Catherine, Scott and Sosha,

I just recently received the news of Charlie's passing. I wanted to echo all the sentiments expressed here about Charlie and what a wonderful person he was. I have been his neighbor for many years and always noticed how kind, friendly and considerate he was towards all of the people he came into contact with. I did not know of his illness, but I did notice that he seemed particularly at peace in the last few months. I am happy to know that he had a loving family nearby and feel very lucky to have had the contact I did with him. He will always be in my thoughts, and I am sincerely sorry your family has suffered the loss of such a special and brave individual. My sincere condolences to all of his family and friends.

My husband and I met Charlie several years ago at our condo complex. It was great having him as a neighbor. I remember seeing Charlie go off jogging in our lovely neighborhood over the years. It was very inspiring! We spoke on many occasions through the years. He was a very friendly and caring man, very easy to talk with. I can speak for many people in our complex when I say he was very well liked here; we were very saddened to hear he had passed away. Our deepest condolences to his mother and father, sister, brother in law, and niece and nephew.
