I am so sorry to learn of Mr Gilmer's passing...I really enjoyed spending Christmas Eve with him and Marie a couple of years ago, and will never forget it...He was so sweet and kind, and I will cherish the knife he gave me as long as I live...I use it every day...I'm praying for Marie and his family..If there's anything I can do, please let me know...Suzy sends her love, as well...We miss you, Marie.

I remember Charles Haynes with gentle and warm thoughts. He was always entertaining, informative and measured in his presentation to young people and is fondly remembered here. I extend my sincere condolences to family, friends and all those he touched.

To the children of Charlie Hayes Gilmer: I remember all of you fondly during the years we shared growing up in the Lebanon Methodist Church and Lebanon school system. Your mother and father contributed in a significant and individual way to the Lebanon community.

With sympathy in the death of your father,

Family,
Charles will be greatly missed by our family. He was a wonderful neighbor and a true friend. We spent many hours sitting on the porch talking. He, telling us stories about his youth and days in college. Charles was a good historian, telling about the town's people from years ago. He will be sadly missed by our family.
