Dear Charles,
As a mom of a special needs child, you and your family have given me the appreciation of what one life can do for many no matter what the world may believe. We will miss you.
with love,

Dearest Charles,
You brought joy to my life at The Lutheran Home until I left on 01 Sep 07. I know you are able to sing your favorite, "Kumbaya" any time you want to now, and you can stand and sing it as loudly and as many times as you desire. And,I want to thank you for a very special gift. You gave me the opportunity to meet your most wonderful and sweetest sister, Prudy, whom I would not have met without you. Thank you so much and enjoy Heaven.
Lovingly,
Elaine C. Howle (Owl)

It was both my privilege and my joy to care for Charles. I will miss him terribly, as I know you will. His singing and his laughter will no longer echo through the halls, but his spirit will live on every time someone sings, "Kumbaya". I will miss his sweet smile, and the way he would touch my face and call me "Ricky". He was my Sweetie Boy, and I feel blessed that he chose me to be his friend.
