In memory of

I worked with Charlie at Stanford Hotels. My position had me working with all of the Stanford Hotels' General Managers. Charlie was, by far, my favorite GM, and we became close friends. I think of him almost every day. He was a beautiful man.

Dear Kathleen and family,
I just learned of Charlie's passing and my heart grieves. I was one of those young people to whom Charlie offered hope and a chance. He believed in me and gave me the opportunity to grow under his leadership. I would not be where I am today without "Mr. Gray" in my life. I am eternally grateful to you both. You remain in my thoughts and prayers.
With my deepest condolences,
Anna Marie Smith (Winston Salem, NC)

Dear Kathleen and Family,
So sorry to hear of Charlie's passing. He was a great friend of mine since we began working together more than 60 years ago in Phoenix, Arizona. As our careers in the hotel industry progressed we would keep in touch and bounce ideas off of each other. Charlie was a great mentor to me. We know how much all of you will miss him, but we are certain you have many fond memories of special moments spent with him, memories you will cherish forever. Please know that Charlie and his entire family are in our thoughts and prayers.
Love to all, Bill O'Connell

Sending my condolences, much strength and big comforting hugs to Mr. Gray's family and friends. I worked for Mr. Gray as his secretary early in my career at a hotel in Albuquerque and he was by far one of the most wonderful gentlemen I've worked for. I'll always remember the time we worked together and all that he taught me about the hospitality industry.

I spent many years knowing Charlie with his work at various hotel properties and as Exec of GAIA. We spent a number of years on the GAIA Golf Tournament committee and fun time on the course. My best to the family.

Charlie was always the dad that checked on all the friends. Whenever Alysia & I would take the car out he was always checking all the lights and signals making sure Alysia & I were safe. He was always cracking jokes and keeping us on our toes. Later on I got to play words with friends with him and enjoyed every game. He will be greatly missed. Sending our love,
Chris & Tracy Patyk

Alysia, my dear friend, I am so sorry to hear of your wonderful Dad's passing. I did not have the honor of meeting him, but having known you, he must have been amazing. The beautiful words written about your father explain so much of who you are. What a blessing to have such an incredible dad. I love you and I pray your memories of him give you joy and peace.
Love,

John and I send our love to the family. We remember your parents presence at all of your important events at Salpointe. Yes, we heard him exclaim multiple times that Alysia´s theatrical performances at Poorman´s or Paul and Michael´s athletic events were "just wonderful".
Although many years have past since our paths have crossed your father will always have a special place in
our hearts. Our prayers and love are sent to you all.
God bless.
