Obituary:

Charles Starr Greenwood, 87, of Port Orange, FL, passed away on February 11, 2024. He was born on November 21, 1936, in National Park, NJ.

Charles was a dedicated Christian who was a member of Tomoka Christian Church in Ormond Beach. He served in the U.S. Army and later pursued a successful career as a Computer Engineer at the Naval Warfare Division in Orlando. His work took him to Italy and Spain frequently, broadening his horizons and experiences.

In his leisure time, Charles indulged in his love for fishing, crabbing, and boating, often found by the water's edge or on his daily walks along the beach. After retiring, he assisted his son in his painting business, staying active and engaged in his community.

Charles is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Barbara Greenwood, his children Chuck Greenwood (wife Donna), Sharon Horn (husband Jeff), Kathie McHenry, Joshua Greenwood, Kim Hudak, Wendy Morlachetta, his grandchildren, Jesse, John, Tom, Chuckie, Candace, Taylor, Sara, Emily and Ava along with numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents Nathaniel and Mary Greenwood, and his siblings John, Thomas, Paul, Lewis, Francis, Mary, Helen, and Rose. Charles will be remembered for his unwavering faith, dedication to his family, and his passion for the sea.

A faithful servant, a devoted family man, and a respected colleague, Charles Greenwood's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and cherished him.

Join us for a celebration of life to be held at Tomoka Christian Church, 1450 Hand Ave, Ormond Beach, FL 32174 on April 27th at 10:00am.

I always remember you being very friendly and your faith was evident. You are the reason Wendy and I made the decision to be baptized. Thank you! I know you have heard, "Well done good and faithful servant" from our Lord.
