Charles Gregory Grimner, affectionately known as Greg, passed away on December 9, 2024, in Mineola, New York. Born on January 26, 1947, in Flushing, New York, Greg was a cherished son, brother, uncle, and friend.

Greg was the beloved son of the late Charles and Teresa Grimner and brother to the late David Grimner. He is survived by his devoted sisters, Mary Ann Peters and her husband Mark, and Virginia Kwiatkoski and her husband Joe. He also leaves behind his sister-in-law, Judy Grimner, and a loving extended family including his nephews, Brian and Denise Grimner, Michael and Laura Grimner, David and Leigh Grimner, and his nieces, Erica Peters and Lauren Wyman with her husband Matt. Greg was a proud granduncle to Jake, Juliette, Micah, and Madeline.

A man of integrity and dedication, Greg attended St. Ignatius and Chaminade before earning his Bachelor of Arts degree from Niagara University. His commitment to service was evident in his time with the United States Army, where he served honorably in Vietnam. Following his military service, Greg embarked on a lifelong career with the United States Postal Service, where he was known for his diligence and camaraderie.

Greg was a passionate sports enthusiast, often found enjoying games at local establishments, where his vibrant spirit and love for life were infectious. Though he never married, Greg's warmth and kindness touched many lives, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew him.

His family and friends will remember him for his unwavering loyalty and his generous heart. Greg's legacy of love and laughter will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to share in his journey.
