Mr. Gross was one of my favorite High school teachers at Evarts High School in 1971-1972. He was very kind, soft spoken and helpful to all of the students. Rest in peace Mr. Gross. My sympathy to the family.

Many fond memories of my Uncle Junior. An avid reader and just all around great lover of education and the learning process. He often discussed death as the "big sleep". This reference was from his many readings. As I read his students' posts, they appreciated his interest in each of them and was fondly remembered. Each person who comes into our lives influences us in some way. My wife and I pray that he will be able to rest in peace as his human body is committed to the earth and his soul flies high in the heavens with the angels.

In loving memory of an honorable respected good person. Mr. Gross was a very intelligent man whom I enjoyed having as a teacher. He taught all of my siblings an all of us had the utmost respect for him. He will be missed. May the Lord bless all of his family and comfort you in your time of sorrow.

In his honor as a tremendous scholar of literature, read “A Psalm of Life “by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow.

Charles and I Don Saylor were 1st cousins and we grew up together on Beech Fork Helton KY. I called him every year on his birthday and we would when I went home about every year. We spent hours talking about family and its history. He was a true credit to and a distinguished member of the esteemed Gross, Howard, and Wilson families and will be sorely missed by all.

As I remember Mr Gross, he was a very good teacher and seemed very interested in each student. We could still use teachers such as Mr Gross, who instills love of learning in students by their teaching style. A belated thank you Mr Gross for you teaching us students.
