Charles Luther "Chuck, Chaz, Charlie, Luke, Dad, Pop Pop" Helm

Charles Luther "Chuck, Chaz, Charlie, Luke, Dad, Pop Pop" Helm, 81, passed away on May 14, 2024. Chuck was born on March 28, 1943, in Pittsburg, PA. He was a proud graduate of THE Ohio State University.

Chuck's happy place was enjoying a few cold beers while watching OSU football. He loved Annapolis, blue crabs, and being around the water. Chuck had a quick wit, dry humor, and took pride in his perfectly manicured lawn. He was known for his to-do lists for the Home Depot, meticulous garage organization, and was called "The Light Wizard" for his holiday light precision.

Chuck is survived by his beloved wife, Connie "Sue" Helm, who is saint and managed to set a new bar for caregivers everywhere. He is also survived by his son, Matt Helm, daughter Kindra Helm, son-in-law Erik Jaenson, grandchildren Chase and Kendall Jaenson, stepdaughter Kelley Burton, grandson Alex Burton, stepson Chris Sekella, daughter-in-law Gina Rogari Sekella, and granddaughters Sadie Rose and Gracie May.

Chuck will be remembered for passing along his unique "Chuck-isms" to his family. This trait includes overusing the label maker, organizing too much, and never leaving a room without leveling all picture frames. A celebration of life service will be held in Columbus during OSU football season, honoring Chuck's love for the Buckeyes. The date is yet to be determined, but rest assured it will not coincide with any event involving "that school up north."
