Dear Etta, Donna and Charlie,

I am shocked and saddened by your loss. I think of all of you often and have fond memories of our days as next door neighbors. Etta, you have probably forgotten and never gave this incident another thought but I hope this will bring a smile and a chuckle: I have often told people about how you liked to bake and I would always ask why since Charles would arrive home from work with the ever present white bakery bag in hand. I always baked from "scratch" and the one time you persuaded me to use a mix, you sent Charles over to borrow a folding table. As you remember, to get to the basement to get the table Charles had to go through the kitchen. Well, of course he saw the cake mix on the counter and I could never convince him that it was my only foray into the world of Betty Crocker!
Donna and Charlie, it's hard for me to picture you as adults with children of your own - I still picture you playing in the yard with Donna and Jeff!
Please accept my sincere sympathy.
Warm regards,
jean

Aunt Pat, Charlie and Donna,

I am sorry about your loss. Uncle Charles was a good man and in a way a father figure for me after my father died. He was truly loved by all. He is now at peace. He is know with both of his parents, a brother, two sisters and a niece. He will always be in your heart. His grandchildren will always have their own private guardian angel watching over them.

I am very sorry for your lost. I went to St. Anthony's with Marie and her sisters. The Woodlea Bakery is the best in Baltimore and the Hergenroeder family is well known and respected. May God be with you and your family.

For a brief period of time I worked for Mr Charles and Woodlea Bakery. He was a very easy gentleman to work for, with a good sense of humor. He and his son were and are honorable people to deal with. I am very sorry to hear of his passing. My condolences to his family.

I worked at Woodlea Bakery for two years. Mr. Charles always had a smile on his face and a joke to share! He will be deeply missed!

I had the pleasure of working at Woodlea Bakery when I was younger. Mr. Charles always made the girls pizza bread on Sunday nights, and we loved it. He will be missed!
