Dad, I don´t know why I was reading your obituary today I don´t even like saying that word it makes me so incredibly sad. I´m just thankful that you were such a good person who genuinely cared about people I am just crying through this whole thing I loved to come home and just sit by you, that´s all I needed. I just wanted to come and sit by you and feel of your good countenance and your good aura. I loved the genuine questions you would ask me because you really cared. you always wanted to know what my kids were up to Thanks for serving in the neighborhood and impacting so many lives and talking to strangers who might have needed a friend. I need to be more like you. I am lazy in that department. I really miss you and I think it´s unfair that you were taken early and we could´ve spent 20 more years with you. I love you dad

I went to school with Ray in Star Valley. He was a very quiet guy. I had a little crush on him in Junior High, but he didn't know that I existed. He was pleasant to be around. By the pictures, obviously he was a wonderful family man. May you all know he is in a good place. May you be comforted.

I was blessed to have had Mr. Humphreys for 5th and 6th grade at South Kearns Elementary. He taught me to brlieve in myself and he sat with me one on one when I struggled with math. He was a great teacher and always worked hard to help his students succeed. He will be missed. Prayers to his family.

Your family have been in the minds, hearts and prayers of many of us concerning this tragic situation with Ray. Death is sad enough when anticipated, but even worse when unexpected.
Our deepest sympathy and condolences on your unexpected loss, we wish for peace at this time for you and your family. . . Rick & Marilyn Sutter

Mr. Humphreys is in my top 3 favorite teachers of all time.I had him for 4th grade at South Kearns Elementary, 26 years ago.He was a great teacher. He was tough, but fair. Kind, caring, and really believed in his students. He knew if you put in the work, you could achieve anything. School was not easy for me (anxiety disorders), but with his encouragement, and belief in me, I tried my absolute best.My sister had him for square dancing only, and apparently, she made an impression on him, because 3 years later, he is calling me Becky. Sometimes I would correct him, and he would say "you look so much like her." Other times I wouldn't say anything, I would just smile, and he would correct himself.I still have a bunch of Top Cat rewards he gave me. He was great at recognizing his students, and rewarding them for all their hard work, and good behavior. He is one of the teachers that I would think about often, and I hope that my children could have a teacher like him. He made you WANT to do your best.Mr. Humphreys,You never lost the passion for teaching, and it showed. Because you cared about us and our education, we cared about school.Thank you for being the kind of teacher we could all admire, and respect. A teacher that would never give up on us, so we didn't give up on ourselves. We all love you.Brittney Timothy Quinn.
