METHUEN — Mr. Charles J. "Jeff" Jeffries Sr., 67, formerly of Groveland, beloved husband of Paula (Nicolosi) Trask Jeffries, passed away peacefully, Sunday morning, April 25, 2010 at his home with his wife by his side, following a long and courageous battle against cancer.
Born and raised in Lynn, he was the son of the late Charles and Ann (Calcagno) Jeffries. He received his education in the Lynn school system. Mr. Jeffries had been employed for 20 years as a layout at Lucent Technology in North Andover until the time of his retirement in 2002. Following his retirement, he worked part time driving handicapped adults to and from their workplace, which he thoroughly enjoyed.
A longtime resident of Methuen, he was a member of the Pleasant View Citizens Club (Dewey Club) in Methuen. His love of cars allowed him to be involved in the auto business off and on throughout his life. A perfectionist, he was especially talented at reconditioning cars to pristine condition. He had the ability to make an old car look like it just came off the showroom floor. He enjoyed working in his yard, was an avid watch collector, loved to repair jewelry and adored his beloved dog Bette, who was always by is side.
In addition to his wife, with whom he shared 20 years of marriage, he is survived by a son, John Jeffries and wife Lisa of Haverhill; a daughter, Tanya M. Lojacono and husband Mark of Danville, Calif.; a step-son, David Trask and wife Stacy of Methuen; a step-daughter, Deanna (Trask) Bower and husband Pat of Sandown, N.H.; nine grandchildren, Evan, Olivia and Danielle Jeffries, Sarah Lojacono, Max and Madison Trask and Owen Reese and Shane Bower; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Saddened to hear of Jeff's passing. He was a great guy to me and my office for many years. His knowledge of cars always impressed me and my staff!
