Charles Kahler Obituary
On December 20, 2011 Charles P. Kahler passed away. He was the beloved husband of the late Ellen C. Kahler (nee Angland); devoted father of Mary Ellen Schultz and her husband Martin T. Schultz Jr., Margaret C. "Peggy" Forrest and her husband J. Craig Forrest, and Charles E. Kahler; loving grandfather of four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit at Schimunek Funeral Home Inc. 9705 Belair Rd. (at Forge Rd.) on Monday from 3-5 PM and 7-9 PM. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at Oakcrest Village Chapel at 11:00 AM where a visitation will be held prior to mass from 10:30-11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Loudon Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.

I returned from holiday vacation and heard the sad news of Mr. Kahler's death. I worked for Mr. Kahler in the old Federal Reserve building on Calvert & Lexington and still work for the Fed today. He was a great boss. My sincere sympathy to his family. I remember him talking so very fondly of his children Mary Ellen, Peggy and Charles back then, and I know he'll be missed by all of you.
