Over the years, I had the pleasure of taking several courses that Charlie taught at Tech. He was a skilled and dedicated teacher. He inspired myself and so many others to be the best we could be, all with a smile on his face and a laugh at the ready. I always looked forward to his classes! My condolences to his family and those close to him. He will be missed by many. Rest easy, Charlie.

Charlie was a great supporter of Walkersville Boy Scout Troop 1070 with their annual Christmas tree fundraiser. He handed off the operations to me many years ago. He was a good friend to his community. I knew him from afar as an underclassman at TJ high school. My deepest sympathy to his family and friends.

I met Charlie in Merida, Mexico where he so graciously hosted me as Brandy's friend. He loved Brandy and it was evident in his eagerness to show us around and introduce us to the work he was doing with the local community. It was lovely. My favorite memory of Charlie on that trip is waking up our first morning and Charlie having a bowl of local cut up fruit ready for us.

Rest in peace, Charlie.

My condolences to the family.

Who remembers a high school science class where Charlie agreed to be hooked up to a heartbeat monitor? He was blindfolded, his heart rate was noted, and Karen entered the room and planted a big kiss on him. Of course, his heart rate escalated. He laughed harder than we did!
That was Charlie. A good man, gone too soon. We’ll remember you.
Peace to your loved ones.

I was a high school friend and classmate of Charlie. He was always such a nice fella to me and his classmates. We once travelled to Ocean City for a few days in his pick up with the camper on the back. We had a great time and I always remember he time he “wrestled” the bear at the gym his senior year! Hilarious ... My condolences to his family.

To the family of Charlie,

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

Charlie was my den leader when I was in Cub Scouts and Weblos (Den 4 and Rattlesnakes). He always was in a great mood and made scouting fun.

I also went to North Frederick with Colin.

All of you are in my prayers. Charlie will not be forgotten.
