CHARLES LOUIS EVANS JR.

Charles L. Evans Jr., 80 passed away on August 24, 2025 in Stratford ,NJ. Born in San Diego, California on April 10, 1945, Charles was raised in Newington, CT. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force, dedicating 20 years to military service before retiring with rank of Major. Following his military career, Charles embarked on a second career initially flying for Pan American Airways, and in his later years, transitioning to office work at an Appraisal Company in Pennsylvania where he was highly regarded for his dedication and excellence.

Charles was a graduate of Newington High School and earned his degree from the University of Connecticut (UConn), Charles was a devoted husband to his wife, Lyn, for 30 years. An avid enthusiast of Golf , tennis and woodworking , Charles also enjoyed reading novels, visiting art galleries, watching plays, and walking on the beach with his beloved wife, Lyn.

He is survived by his wife, Lyn; his Brother, John, and John's wife, Jane, along with their daughters, Jennifer and Elizabeth of Windsor, CT; his Sister, Carlene, her husband, Mike, and their daughters, Laura and Lisa of Florida; and his nephew, Andrew J., as well as great nieces, Grace, Gianna, Nina of Windsor, CT, and nieces Jennifer, Elizabeth of CT. and Laura, Lisa of Florida. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Charles L. Evans Sr. and Carlene Evans.

His dedication to his wife and family and his many passions enriched the lives of those around him.
