CHARLES Q. SR.
In Venice, FL; on Tues., March 14, 2006, formerly of Crafton and Greentree; beloved husband of 53 years to Elizabeth Jane (Malarky) Lafferty; loving father of Charles Jr. (Claire), Joseph (Leslie) and Michael (Angie DiGregorio) Lafferty; grandfather of Beth, Julie and Kyle Lafferty; son of the late Joseph and Margaret Lafferty; brother of Elizabeth McGregor and the late Margaret Laurent. Chuck was a WWII highly decorated Navy pilot with 93 flying missions from aircraft carriers in the Pacific. Also was employed by Gulf Oil for over 40 years. He came to Venice in 1982 from Houston TX where he retired as Director from Export Traffic and Purchasing Dept. He was a member of the D.A.V. #101, American Legion and the V.F.W. in FL. Friends received Saturday 2-4 and 7-9. Sunday 12 noon until 1 pm at which time the service will be held in the chapel at the SCHEPNER-McDERMOTT FUNERAL HOME, INC. 165 Noble Ave., Crafton. Interment private. A celebration of Life service will be held in Venice, FL at a later date. The family suggests Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of ones choice.
