I am so sorry to hear this news. I had called Hal not long ago to see how he was doing....and his phone was disconnected. A little more research led me to understanding that this great man had passed. I served under him at Fort Carson, for a couple years. Several years, after wondering about Charles, I looked him up to find he still lived in the same home where he did when I knew him. I miss Charles and am so saddened about hearing of his death. I wish I could have seen him before this. Robert Burgess

So sorry for your loss. Hal always had a big smile whenever I was around him. He served our country with honor. I am glad he was my cousin.

He was the kind of big brother every sister needs while growing up. I will forever remember how he looked after his younger siblings. We will miss him.
