Charles Levering Obituary
AGE: 80 •
Charles "Charlie" Raymond Levering, Sr. 80 years of age. Son of Raymond C. and LaRhedaa (Hunter) Levering passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 12th 2017 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Charlie was born in Wildwood, NJ and served 4 years in the U. S. Air Force. He was employed by the U. S. Postal Service for 35 years, retiring in 1993. He enjoyed family outings, fishing, camping, traveling and cross stitch. Charlie was proud of having visited all 50 states.
Charlie served as Past Master of Mount Holly Lodge #14 of Free and Accepted Masons, the Shriners, Consistory, Scottish Rite, and the Knights Templar. Charlie also served as Past Patron and Past Grand Officer for Mt. Holly Chapter #147, Order of the Eastern Star of N. J.
Charlie was preceded in death by sisters Joan Snyder, Pauline (Pat) Stow, and brother Edwin H. Levering. He is survived by his Loving wife of 52 years, Frances T. Levering, his sisters Marie Gittle, Dorothy Forrest, Rae Forrest and Barbara Witte, his children Frances & James Smith, Chett & Debra Levering, F. William & Heather Levering, LaRhedaa Bowman, Charles & Altha Levering, Danielle & Clifford Wood, Edwin & Kimberly Levering, 26 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, numerous nieces & nephews, other family and many friends.
A Celebration of Charles' Life will be held on April 1, 2017 at Mt. Holly Masonic Lodge, 15 Garden St., Mt. Holly, NJ at 2 pm. All who knew "Charlie", even if only by chance, are welcome to attend. The Family asks you to bring your memories and stay for refreshments.

Charlie and I worked together for many years beginning in South Jersey in the early 1970's and continuing through the mid 1990's. He was a terrific team player and fun to be around as well. Maurice and I extend our heartfelt sympathy to his lovely wife, Franny and to his entire family. May God continue to give you peace in your hearts.

I remember Charlie from the Philadelphia TMSC, Postal facility. We had many a talk and I traveled with him as well. He will be missed, may he rest in peace
