AYER - James B. Pinard, 80, of Ayer, died Tuesday, February 5, 2019, at his home. Mr. Pinard was born in Littleton, NH, July 7, 1938, a son of Aldona J. and Ruth V. (Brill) Pinard and has resided in Ayer for most of his life. He was a 1956 graduate of Ayer High School and continued his education at Worcester Trade School where his focus of education was automobile mechanic. For 22 years Mr. Pinard worked as a firefighter at Fort Devens, retiring in 1994 at the rank of Captain. He leaves his wife of 55 years, Judith A. (Guthrie) Pinard; three sons and daughters-in-law, James B. and Marie Pinard Jr. of Ayer, Mark A. and Kassie Pinard, Matthew J. and Laura Pinard all of Lunenburg; a daughter and son-in-law, Lisa M. and Eric Richard of Ayer; a sister, Ann Coughlin of Florida; nine grandchildren, James B. Pinard III, Joshua S. Pinard, Jillian Pinard, Benjamin Richard, Nicholas Richard, Elizabeth Pinard, Madison Pinard, Jonathan Pinard, Jake Pinard and three great-grandchildren, James B. Pinard IV, Evan Pinard and Jaxson Pinard. He was a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Ayer. He loved the days spent at his camp, Little Piece of Heaven in Whitefield, NH but most of all cherished the time spent with his family.

PINARD - A funeral mass will be celebrated 11 am, Monday, February 11, 2019, at St. Mary's Church, 31 Shirley Street, Ayer. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Calling hours are 2-5 PM, Sunday, February 10th, at the Anderson Funeral Home, 25 Fitchburg Rd. (Rte 2A) Ayer.
