Charles Lyon Obituary
In 1965, Charles met his wife of 53 years Gladys Francis Maddox while working at the Varsity in Athens. They married in 1968 and went on to have 2 children; Alan and Kristy.
Charles truly enjoyed making the people around him happy whether through his creative jokes, or his generosity that knew no bounds. He took a true interest in people and could always find something special to connect with others about.
Charles was predeceased by his parents Laura and James Lyon, his wife Gladys Lyon, and his brother Jimmy Lyon. He is survived by his loving children, Alan Wesley Lyon and his wife Lora, Elinor Kristy Parent and her husband John, granddaughter Isabelle Laura Parent, and brother Tommy Lyon and his wife Jane. He is also survived by the countless friends who he loved and supported and who loved and supported him.
Alan and Kristy invite you to join us to celebrate his long and full life at Crowell Brothers Funeral Home in Peachtree Corners on April 27. Visitation at 1:00 pm, service at 2:00 pm, followed by interment and reception. He will be laid to rest next to Gladys.
