Charles MacLEAN

MacLEAN _ Charles Rankin Maclean,Q.C. died at his home in Aldergrove on November 12th, 2002. Born in Yorkshire, England, he came to teach in Kitimat in 1956 moving to Vancouver after one year to teach at University Hill School. He graduated in Law at UBC in 1962 and was called to the Bar in 1963. He practised as a Barrister in Vancouver and Fort St. John before all the courts and was a Provincial Court Judge 1972-1973. He was an intermittent talk show host and broadcaster, as Cassandra for CFUN, and from time to time at CJOR,CKNW and AM 1040. He was active in Federal and Provincial politics and had passionate interests in poetry, history and literature. He is survived by his loving wife Margaret, his children Alan, Sean (Jeanine) and Georgia (Peter Cross) and grandchildren Kiernan, Conor, Rory and Kate.
