1. My family tells me that Eric did not want to start grade one as I had the mumps and could not go.
2. Eric, Normie McLellan, Viola Grey and I played Tarzan and Jane in McConachies yard and if you climbed the tree high enough you could see the Parliament Buildings from Calder.
3. The McConachies opened their lawn to the ladies of Chalmers United Church for the annual strawberry tea & bake sale. I remember the 'fish pond' where we spent our five cents.
4. My mother made the Piere & Pierette costume for Eric and me to enter the winter skating carnival---no recollection re winning or not !!
5. We had a great childhood and we know that Eric went on to great success in his adult life.

Our deepest sympathies to Eric's beloved children and grandchildren. He was a brilliant and vibrant soul who enriched our lives and those of many, many others around the world. May he rest in peace in a place where he is restored to health, and can work on ever bigger and better projects!
