Charles Myers Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Nov. 13, 2023.
We mourn the passing of a great man who meant so much to so many. Chuck had a lot of roles. He was a successful and passionate Ducks Unlimited chairman who set the bar high in the North Oakland Chapter. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman; creating wonderful memories with his Walpole Island and Haymarsh families. He was a loving and protective brother to his sisters Nancy and Jonette. A fiercely loyal friend and a cowboy on a snowmobile.

But Chuck's favorite role was dad. His daughters Cricket and Casey were so lucky. He logged countless hours in the boat with them during the summer, and in the winters he kept an eye on them at Pine Knob. He drove through a snowstorm to watch Casey ski in northern Vermont. He got stuck in a snow storm in Colorado Springs with Cricket. He drove from Michigan to Los Angeles in a uhaul. Whatever they needed, he was there. Whatever adventure his girls came up with he was game. He loved watching Cricket and Casey spread their wings, even though it took them further away from him. Because seeing his girls happy made him the happiest.

When it came to flowers and plants, Chuck was a true artist. He made the environment around him so beautiful. He created a stunning backyard for Cricket and coached Casey to create colorful planters. He was so happy playing in the dirt and working on his tan in California.

Chuck has enriched so many lives and is deeply missed.
