Rev. Charles E Nelson my youth pastor many ancient years ago. Upon the passing of Rev. Billy Graham, I remembered you (not the first remembrance however). I miss singing at the rest homes even though they were tear jerkers. I miss the chocolate cokes at the Olympia and your fellowhip. I did not know that you had passed. I'm sorry I missed your memorial. Hope to rejoin you in heaven. Nancy

To the Nelson Family,

We are so sorry to hear of your loss. Chuck was such a wonderful man and so warm and welcoming. He will be greatly missed by our family. We so enjoyed hearing his stories at family gatherings. Our thougths and prayers are with you now.

Please accept our sympathies. Chuck always had a kind word to say to us whenever we visited the Portland Avenue Church. I know he was a valued member of the congregation. Sincerely, The Mark Gaughan Family

I worked with"Chuck" when he was the Chaplin at the Masonic Home.He made the history of the Home come alive, by visiting Cemeteries
and the Historical Society and interviewing the Daughter of the first Administrator. Our museum was always a source of interest! And, oh how he and Mary loved to dance! I will miss him.

May his newly born venture be as beautiful as he was. I will alway remember our times together.

Heaven is blessed to have him in its presence. I remember him as my tall, tall, always smiling Uncle. Although we didn't spend much time together in later years, he is my inspiration in so many ways.
